Holly is going home from school. It was raining. She took her umbrella with her. She put her gumboots on and her jacket. When she went home, she saw her mum was waving at her. When she got there her mum hugged her so tight. She fell asleep in her mum’s arms.

String Telephones - by Room 8
Me and Lyla were partners. The string was really long and we could hear each other because the string was nice and tight.
By Emma
We made a string telephone yesterday. First we got a pottle and wool and a clip. Next we put the string in the pottle, then we tied the string on the clip. Try it, it will be good! One of the people puts it on their ear, the other person talks to the other person, then the other one talks to the person who talked to you.

Well done Olivia. I like the way you are using words like 'first, next and then to connect your ideas. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how the sound travelled along the string Emma?
ReplyDeleteGreat work Room 8. It's great to see you are working hard on your writing. We will be watching for more authors to put their stories forward.
